TECHNICAL WRITE-UP OF CLIMATE CHANGE RESPONSE STRATEGIES AND IMPLEMENTATION PLANS FOR PROVINCES AND LOCAL MUNICIPALITIES
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in partnership with the National Department of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment (DFFE) is seeking to appoint a consultant to develop mitigation reporting tools and conduct technical write-ups for climate change response strategies and implementation plans for selected provinces, district and local municipalities.
These tools, and the technical write-ups will be based on the recently promulgated Climate Change Act 22 of 2024, that. requires the development and implementation of a set of instruments such as climate change strategies and an implementation plans which will guide the country’s adaptation to climate change impacts.
